2026 PHILOSOPHY CAMPS
IN ADELAIDE & SYDNEY
Adelaide: Mon. 6th - Thurs. 9th July
Sydney: Tues. 14th - Fri. 17th July

“What is man that thou art mindful of him? ...
Thou hast made him a little less than the angels,
thou hast crowned him with glory and honour:"
—Psalms 8: 4-5
These July school holidays, all high school and upper-primary school students, with an open mind and eager to learn, are invited to join us for our 2026 Philosophy Camp.
The theme for this year’s Camp is, “De Anima - On the Soul”
What is it that makes us truly human? Are we merely highly developed animals, or is there something within us that transcends the material world? This year’s Camp will explore the remarkable philosophical truths concerning the human soul: what it is, the powers it possesses, how it forms ideas and knowledge, and why it is immortal.
In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, participants will be introduced to the wisdom of Aristotle and St Thomas Aquinas, whose insights into human nature remain as relevant today as ever. Through engaging talks and discussions, campers will discover profound truths that reveal the dignity and destiny of every human person.
A sound understanding of philosophy provides a firm foundation for all learning. Rooted in the perennial philosophy of St Thomas Aquinas, the Camp will equip participants to think clearly, reason carefully, and pursue truth with confidence.
As all knowledge and wisdom is vain unless it leads us to grow in love of God and neighbour, prayer and attendance at Holy Mass will also be a focal point of the Camp.
A feature of the Camp will also be frequent team-building activities as well as daily group sport and recreation. These will culminate in a group challenge on the final day of Camp, where teams (aided with their knowledge learned at Camp) will tackle an obstacle course, and compete for the coveted “Philosophers’ Cup”!
There are many calls on our youth’s time during the school holidays. But it is hoped that parents will encourage their children (having their greater good at heart), to forgo their other plans and spend four days at the 2026 Adelaide Philosophy Camp, in the consideration of things transcendent! Having both a fun and thought-provoking time.
We hope to see you on this years’ camp!
"A wise man … built his house upon a rock, and the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock.”
—St Matthew 7: 24-25
God bless you.
